Archie

Picture

Archie is a sweet boy about 10 months old when we he came to live with us in August of 2020.
At first we thought he was our John Snow who somehow got out! But soon realized this boy had a stumpy tail and wasn't ours.We thought he was a stray and possibly dumped but after posting on FB fr his owners we were contacted  by our new neighbors who said he was theirs and his name was Archie.
For the next few  months Archie loved to come down to our thrift shop and stay on our porch, greeting all the customers. He would sit over at the fenceline visiting with out kitties in the sanctuary or down at our gate at the house. He decided to stay on the porch and has a favorite fuzzy blanket he sucks on as his security blanket. Our granddaughter looked for him every day too. Everyone loved him who came to visit.
We became concerned for him since he wasn't neutered he got in fights with a couple of local un neutered males in the area.
After a few months we decided to ask his owners if they might consider letting him be a permanent member of the Cat Ranch and she agreed! She said  he liked it here so much she herself had thought of asking us if we wanted him.
We were thrilled and now he's a regular on the thrift shop porch and at night he trots down to eat and we put him up to keep him safe. Hes scheduled for his vetting next week. (Aug 11) and  we hope all goes well.He is a very sweet kitty although he doesn't like to be held he will sit with you as long as its "his" idea! We love him  very much!
