Beanie

Picture
Beanie was found at the fire hall in town. She was so emaciated she was staggering and wouldn't have made it another night. We thought she was just 5 months old but turned out she was appox 8 months old and already ear tipped from a colony and spayed. She  had a broken tail that was broken in several  places and had maggots in the endl We do not know where she came from or how she ended up where she was. She was extremely scared and hungry, Being feral she took a long time to adjust. She could barely jump into the chair to sleep and would certainly died if we hadn't gotten her that day.
We ended up putting her in our bedroom where it was quiet and we could spend more time with her. We  got her to the vet who told us her approximate age and we had to amputate her tail. She healed quickly and started  gaining weightl We put Tessa in with  her to help socialize her but she didn't know what to do with Tessa's boundless energy. It wasn't until we put Nelly, our 16 year old girl who was very quiet  did she finally come out of her shell. From there she   started to learn how to play. Before she was in survival mode where she was hiding  constantly only coming out to eat. Once she discovered how to play she improved daily. While she is still in our room and my be there forever she loves to play with Tessa, Darla and Little Bit. Nelly has since passed away due to  old age but we are so grateful she could  help our Beanie before she passed.
