Boo Bear is a Manx kitten who was found by a lady in her barn on November 24,2014 and was about 4 months old. She thought she had a hurt leg as she was limping and dragging one leg. So we took her immediately to have xrays to see if anything was broken. It turned out she didn't but had manx syndrome aka Spina Bifida. She has problems going to the bathroom and is incontinent at times. She has a rather severe case and has no tail bone at all.
She got really constipated and prolapsed her rectum on about the 2nd day we had her and we rushed her to the ER to get it fixed. We have to monitor her diet and keep her stool lose. This will be a lifelong process but we feel she is worth it. She gets along fine even though she sort of drags the one hind leg some. This isn't painful for her. Its neurological and she will not outgrow this. Because of this she must remain indoors only. We hope all goes well with this girl. She may have surgeries in her future but we are taking it one day at a time. She is a very sweet loving girl who deserves every chance at a happy life!
Sadly Boo died during her spay from a reaction to anethesia in 2014. She will be forever missed.
