Maggie

November 24.2012 I saw a poor mamma pitty walking down the road. She looked lost and was wondering which way to go. She turned to me and our eyes met. She stood still waiting. I said come on and she dropped her head and walked slowly over to me her tail slightly wagging. She had the biggest sad eyes and she was full of milk. I fed her and she ate a whole big bowl of dog food and a large bowl of water. You could count her ribs. I took her to the vet and we discovered she had heart worms so we had to wait to spay her. We got them successfully treated after several months. She gained weight and her playful personality emerged.
She gets along well with the cats, dogs and my granddaughter who loves to play fetch with her. The vet said she was about 2 yrs old. We have had her almost a year now and she is such a good girl. She is also fully house broken and lets us know when to let her out. She loves to sleep on the sofa. The cats always greet her when we let her out. In the hot summer she loves to get in the creek  and lay in the mud!  She also loves her blue squeeky ball someone donated and keeps it with her constantly. She will play fetch all day long. Ham bones are her favorite chewy things. She is always ready to chase the mailman or the UPS man when they come by the house. It's so funny to see such a big dog run that fast!  She is one lucky girl!
